Tragic news.
A teenager has died following a single vehicle road traffic collision in Cork.
The incident occurred on 10 August at approximately 1.20am, according to Gardaí.
Gardaí attended a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the N25 Castleredmond Midleton Cork.
A man in his late teens was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital with serious head injuries where he later passed away on Sunday.
The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision investigators.
The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will we arranged.
A file will be prepared in accordance with the Coroners Act.
