Good news for UCC.

University College Cork (UCC) has been named as the Sunday Times University of the Year for the second year in succession, the first time in the 15-year history of the guide that a university has retained its title.

Trinity College Dublin was named as the runner-up.

It is the fifth time that UCC has claimed top spot in the Sunday Times university rankings, which will be published in a 16-page supplement that will come free with The Sunday Times this Sunday.

DIT has risen to the highest ranking ever achieved by an institute of technology in The Sunday Times Good University Guide league table. Ranking seventh this year, it has become the first institute of technology to overtake one of Ireland’s seven universities in the definitive rankings for third level performance.

The Sunday Times Good University Guide comes with The Sunday Times this Sunday, October 9 and can also be viewed online here (login required).
