The Rubberbandits have their say on the Luas strikes

Carl Kinsella

The Rubberbandits believe that the Luas drivers deserve to have their voices heard.

The dispute over Luas driver pay rages on, and talks between Transdev and SIPTU are currently ongoing in order to prevent further strikes.

Many people have limited sympathy for the Luas drivers, drawing comparisons between their pay and the pay of nurses and gardaí.

The Rubberbandits, who have recently seized the mantle of Ireland’s go-to voice-of-reason for issues like mental health and the refugee crisis, have expressed sympathy for the Luas drivers on their Twitter account, and advocating the right of the worker to strike.

Fair play, lads.
