The so-called “cheapest pub in Ireland” has been sold at a knockdown price

Conor Heneghan

Bargain.

Earlier today, you may have read about a property formerly known as the Kilbride Inn in Roscommon, which went on sale at an auction on Tuesday, where the bidding started at just €30,000.

A pub and house combo that has a car park and sits on 4.5 acres of land, the property is located in an area known as Four Mile House on the main Roscommon to Strokestown Road.

It went on sale at an Allsop online property auction on Tuesday morning and according to allsopireland.ie, after bidding opened at €30,000, there were six bids from two bidders in 40 minutes before it was eventually sold for €42,000.

Granted, there’s a bit of work to do to restore to its former glory, but that sure seems like a decent price to us.
