Irish people usually have two different approaches to the NCT test. They either get the car fully serviced beforehand and hope for the best, or they do the test and then fix everything that's wrong with the car before doing a re-test. A report in the Irish Sun today might be a help for the next time you're taking the test, because they've revealed the two main reasons cars fail - lighting and electrical faults.
