This will be a wonderful thing.
The funeral of Anthony Foley will take place at 12 noon on Friday at St Flannan’s Church,Killaloe. While thousands will honour the Munster legend in their own way, one particular tribute is set to echo through Munster at the same time as the funeral.
Tomorrow all of the radio stations in Munster will play The Fields of Athenry at 12pm in memory of Anthony Foley.

There have been calls for all of the radio stations in the country to join in and unify the nation for a few minutes on a friday.
It would be fantastic if every station in the country joined in. Please spread the word. hat tip to @kieranmcgeary for kicking it off.

It will take a bit of coordination but if anyone connected to a radio station could contact them maybe this could happen and the country could join together for something other than the noontime angelus.
Let us try.
