There’s a storm a-brewin’: Hurricane Gonzalo projected to hit Ireland on Tuesday…

You might want to batten down the hatches, lads, as Hurricane Gonzalo is on course to hit Ireland early Tuesday morning.

The detailed graph below, provided by the National Hurricane Centre in the US, shows us the predicted path of Hurricane Gonzalo over the Atlantic Ocean. The hurricane started off down by the Bahamas around 5am on Thursday morning and it is expect to reach Ireland sometime around 2am on Tuesday morning. According to the NHC Hurricane Gonzalo is moving north at around 9 miles per hour, while the max sustained wind speed has been recorded at 140mph (225kph). So it's currently turing out to be a pretty damn big storm... While Hurricane Gonzalo looks set to make it’s way towards Ireland, we wouldn’t go stocking up the post-apocalypse supplies just yet, as it could easily change course or disperse into nothing before Tuesday. At least we hope it comes to nothing…
