These are the 10 best places to work in Ireland for LGBT equality

The winners were announced by GLEN (Gay and Lesbian Equality Network) at a ceremony in Dublin on Tuesday afternoon.

Accenture was named as the best place to work in Ireland for LGBT Equality at the Workplace Equality Index Awards in Dublin on Tuesday.

The global professional services company was one of ten organisations recognised for excelling across five key areas: LGBT inclusive leadership, LGBT inclusive policies and practices, inclusive culture, LGBT visibility and diverse business.

The awards celebrate and benchmark high performing employers who are clearly demonstrating how their organisations are inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans employees, with the likes of Microsoft, Trinity College Dublin, IBM and Eir also warranting recognition.

Commenting on the organisations recognised at the awards ceremony, Kieran Rose, GLEN Co-Chair, said: “We are delighted to recognise the companies and executives who are leading the way in making Irish workplaces fully inclusive of LGBT people.

“These organisations and Leaders are playing an integral role in creating a business culture in Ireland that values the skills, ideas and creativity that LGBT people bring to the workplace.”
