Three people have died after two separate crashes in Tipperary.
Emergency Services responded to a collision involving four vehicles on a local road at Killeen, Ballinunty shortly before 6pm yesterday evening, Saturday December 13.
The occupants of one of the cars, two men in their early 20s and late teens, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two females in their 20s, who were travelling in the second car, were taken by ambulance to Tipperary University Hospital with injuries believed to be non life-threatening.
Six other individuals were medically assessed at the scene but did not require immediate hospital treatment.
The road was closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision investigations and the local Coroner was notified with post-mortem examinations to be arranged.
Separately, a collision involving two cars occurred on the Frank Drohan Road at approximately 1.10am.
A man in his 30s was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post mortem will take place.
No other serious injuries have been reported.
The road currently remains closed from the Cahir Road Roundabout to the Heywood Road Junction on the N24 with local diversions in place.
An examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will be conducted.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collisions to come forward and are appealing to any road users travelling in either area between who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available to them.
