It could be you…

Tonight’s estimated €12.5 million Lotto jackpot is the highest jackpot in almost four years, according to the National Lottery.

The jackpot has been rolling since the end of January and as tonight’s draw gets closer, the National Lottery has appealed to players to follow social distancing measures when purchasing tickets.

It urged players to follow the guidelines in place and to avoid queues in shops by purchasing their tickets early and safely.

Tickets can be purchased in-store, in-app or online before the 7.45pm deadline tonight.

A National Lottery spokesperson said in a statement: “This could be a very happy Wednesday for one lucky Lotto player as the jackpot rolls towards an estimated €12.5 million.

“This is the largest Lotto jackpot that we have seen in almost four years, so we are expecting an increase of interest from our players in the hours leading up to the draw tonight.

“We are urging all of our Lotto players to purchase their tickets early and to continue to follow the social distancing measures in place while doing so.”

Since the Lotto game was launched in 1988, only 26 jackpots in excess of €10 million have been won. Good luck!
