The term ‘car park’ was thrown about pretty frequently.

With schools set to return this week, the blissful days of steady flows of traffic around Dublin in the mornings are set to come to a shuddering halt.

In fact, as of Monday morning, it’s already happened.

An overturned car near Junction 9 Red Cow on the M50 caused all sorts of traffic problems on Monday morning, with AA Roadwatch reporting at approximately 9am that it was taking the best part of two hours to travel from the M1/M50 interchange to Junction 13 Ballinteer.

As you might expect, it was the source of much frustration amongst motorists.

Thankfully, the delays began to ease as the morning went on; for more information, keep an eye on AA Roadwatch on Twitter.
