Two people, including a teenager, have died following a rescue operation from the sea off of Malin Head in County Donegal.
Three people were taken to hospital in a serious condition after their small fishing vessel capsized on Tuesday afternoon.
RTÉ reports that a 16-year-old boy and a man in his 60s later died after being brought to Letterkenny University Hospital.
The teenager was from Derry, while the man was from Donegal.
A third man is reported to be in stable condition following the incident.
The Coast Guard was alerted at approximately 4pm on Tuesday when the 15-foot boat capsized in the water.
A rescue effort was subsequently mounted by Green Castle Coast Guard and Lough Swilly RNLI, while the Coast Guard helicopter and a number of local fishing boats also assisted in the operation.
A spokesperson for the Coast Guard strongly urged the public to follow safety guidelines when taking the to waters, and to stay connected and stay afloat.
