Unintentional (or maybe not) profanity from the World Snooker Twitter account

The person in charge of the official World Snooker Twitter account was responsible for some unintentional un-parliamentary language earlier today. Or, they knew exactly what they were doing.

Marco Fu is in action against Mark King in the Wuxi Classic event in China today and it doesn’t take a genius to work out that if you combine the surnames of both men together, it closely resembles a very bad word indeed.

Whoever was operating the World Snooker Twitter account wasn’t aware of that, however, or (in a far more likely scenario) they knew exactly what they were doing but knew they’d get away with it because technically, technically, they weren’t doing anything wrong.

In fairness, there was easily enough room to include the first names of both players and not make it seem as obvious, but we’ll chalk this down as an innocent mistake.

Cheeky buggers.
