The owners are looking at damages of up to £40,000

Good jaysus.

Letting your place out on AirBnB is a great way to make some quick cash, but unfortunately for one couple in Calgary, Canada, they let their two-storey home out to renters from hell.

After receiving numerous calls and texts from neighbours about a commotion going on in their home over the three-day period, Mark and Star King returned with with the police to find their house looking like this…

CTVNews.ca report that the damaged caused to the property came to around £27,000 – £40,000.

That might seem a bit steep, but police said specialist cleaners would have to be called in as “bodily fluids” – including urine, semen and vomit – were found around the home among the damage.

“The drugs, the sex, everything imaginable that would violate a home, has happened here. We don’t want to touch anything. We can’t sleep in these beds again, we can’t walk on these carpets in bare feet, ever again,” Mark King told CTV Calgary on Wednesday.

Airbnb announced on Thursday night that the user who rented the property has now been banned from its service.

“We have zero tolerance for this kind of behaviour and our team is working quickly to make this right,” Airbnb spokesperson Jakob Kerr said in a statement to CTV News on Thursday.

The renters had told the Kings that only four adults would be staying in their house as they were attending a wedding in the area, but neighbours initially became concerned when a party bus rolled up to the home.

Thankfully for the King family, Air BnB provides coverage under its host guarantee, which offers up to $1million in insurance “in the rare event of guest damages which are not resolved directly with the guest.”
