We might poach this idea.
The good yolks at Ireland West Airport have just launched their busiest ever summer schedule.
To celebrate, they surprised passengers on their Aer Lingus service from London Gatwick. While waiting for their bags in the arrivals hall, they were greeted with the sight of Easter eggs coming out on the baggage belt.
It was a cracking surprise. Take a look for yourselves.
It’s easy to see why they’re celebrating – this is going to be a massive summer for Ireland West Airport.
They’ll continue their amazing service to the UK, where over 100 flights to and from 9 key UK airports depart every week.
Their wonderful European service will also continue; Ireland West Airport offers weekly flights to hot spots such as Alicante, Barcelona, Croatia, Malaga, Faro, Lanzarote, Tenerife and Costa Dorada and twice weekly flights to Milan.
July also welcomes the airport’s first charter service from Boston with Aer Lingus.
On top of all this, Ireland West Airport is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of its official opening in May.
To mark the occasion, the airport will be hosting a number of events, with the highlight being a 5km runway run along Ireland’s most famous runway – the first time the airport will have ever opened its runway to the public.
All proceeds from the run will go to the airport’s three nominated charities for 2016, Cancer Care West, MS Ireland and Pieta House.
Registration is now open on www.irelandwestairport.com/runwayrun.
Hurry spaces are limited, Mayo Captain Keith Higgins had to sprint just to get there!
