Delighted for her.
Leaving Cert results day is an incredibly stressful thing for all Irish students because it’s the culmination of years and years of hard work.
While I hope that every single person got what they wanted, there are always some people who miss out but relax, I guarantee you that it’s not the end of the world.
Mary Theresa Glendon from Clonmel, Tipperary was just one of the many students that were a bag of nerves this morning as she looked at that envelope in her hand.
In fact, Mary Theresa was too afraid to open it so her mother had to do the honours before sliding the results under her bedroom door.
Suffice to say, she was happy. Now that’s an understatement! Good luck to her because she’s off to London pursuing her dream to become a nurse.
This is wonderful.
Hat-tip to Mary Theresa’s brother and JOE reader William Glendon for this one.
