Wait for it…
It hasn’t been the best of weeks for RTÉ because it seems like the national station has recently been plagued by Gizmo, Mohawk and the entire cast of Gremlins.
Those blasted furry critters wreaked havoc during the 9 O’Clock news, Eileen Dunne to the rescue, but it seems that weather presenter Jean Byrne has been the latest victim of their rampaging ways.
It’s either that or she wasn’t given the right cue, countdown or functioning equipment before going on-air.
Take a look as the presenter remains oblivious to the fact that the cameras are rolling just before she’s about to read her report. The few seconds before the penny drops are priceless.
