To describe this particular South African sports show as a cringefest is possibly doing it an injustice. It's much worse than that
In case you couldn't tell, this was the first episode of new sports show Game On! which was broadcast on ANN7 in South Africa on Wednesday this week. If this pilot is anything to go by, there might not be many more episodes in the pipeline.
It wasn't all the fault of the two presenters however, as the producers will need to take some of the flack as to why viewers could hear people in the control room talking, something which Caroline Samuels, on the left of the video, tried to point out around the thirty second mark by mouthing words and making hand gestures at them.
Of course, the two presenters can also be heard talking over the clips (another blunder), which is followed an abrupt cut back to studio where both presenters seem totally unprepared, and poor aul Caroline is thrown under the bus when her co-presenter says "On to rugby, Caroline has more on that". Valued input, we're sure.
From start to finish, this was one catastrophe after another, and thankfully they cut away to some ads to try and sort out the mess. Fail to prepare, as they say...
