Video: This footage of reckless driving on an Irish road is one of the worst that we’ve seen

The epitome of dangerous driving.

The epitome of dangerous driving.

Most Irish motorists will openly admit that their cars aren’t always 100% up to scratch but safety will always prevail.

If your car has the potential to cause danger or any accident on the road then the only place that it should visit is a mechanic. Simple.

We wish that this driver in Limerick took this advice though after he was spotted driving home late on Sunday night in pitch black darkness without any taillights and allegedly under the influence.

JOE reader Philip Bourke sent this footage into us and in his own words, “He drove from outside Patrickswell all the way to O’ Rourkes Cross, stopping just before village of Banogue when the driver fell out of the car”.

Philip says that he was going to approach the reckless driver after he stopped and got out but that it was too dangerous because cars were overtaking him and he feared that he would get hit by the oncoming traffic.

Like anyone would do, Mr Bourke called the Gardai straight away while watching this reckless driver get back into his car and drive on.

This dangerous driver proceeded to hit the ditches and drive on the wrong side of the road, completely ignoring the oncoming traffic.

Philip says that “he suddenly stopped at the crossroads before O’Rourkes Cross. I went to reverse back on the main road and block him off from driving”.

After all he was was risking lives on the road.

Philip trailed the driver all the way home, keeping the gardai informed of the situation, although there was nothing that they could do as he was inside his own home before they arrived.

This footage needs to be seen and the whole story is in the comments box also.
