An ESB pole and property were damaged in Ardee in Louth when a truck passing through the town shed a number of hay bales onto Bridge Street on Wednesday morning.
CCTV footage captured by local publican Mark Conlon from Hamills of Number 19 pub showed the truck shedding the hay bales at approximately 6:45am on Wednesday morning, causing damage to property on the street in the process.
According to thisisardee.ie, a stop and go system was in place on Bridge Street in Ardee for much of Wednesday while Gardaí, who have since spoken to the driver of the truck, investigated the scene and ESB crews carried out repairs.
This was the scene outside Hamills early on Wednesday morning; the bales of hay have since been removed.
