Cringe.
A handshake is often an important way of making a positive first impression with an acquaintance.
Too soft and limp and you could be accused of being weak. Inflict too tight a grip and you could be accused of being overbearing. Nice and firm, however and you’re off to a great start.
So often do they meet people of great esteem and importance that you’d expect the leaders of various nations to have perfected their handshake techniques.
It seems as if US President Barack Obama, Mexican Prime Minister Enrique Pena Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, however, need to go back to school.
Just look at the awkward three-way handshake that occurred when they met at the Three Amigos summit in Ottawa on Wednesday.
