Storm Doris is back with a vengeance.

A status yellow weather warning has been issued by Met Éireann, with most of the country likely to be affected by severe winds, heavy rain and even snow in the later part of this week.

The warning, issued at 10am on Tuesday morning, is valid from just after midnight on Wednesday until 11am on Thursday and forecasts that a “rapidly deepening wave depression will track eastwards over northern parts of Ireland later Wednesday night and early on Thursday”.

Severe gusts, especially in northern and eastern areas, are expected to develop overnight on Wednesday and into Thursday morning, with heavy rain also likely and a possibility of snow on northern hills.

Met Éireann say that more detailed updates will follow in the coming days, you can track them on their website here.
