Met Éireann have issued a weather warning for a number of counties

Rosanna Cooney

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford. The warning is in place from 9pm tonight until 2pm on Sunday.

The warning states: “There is the risk of some thundery rain on Saturday night and Sunday morning giving some local spot flooding”.

The whole country is looking like it will be puddle infested though so don’t begrudge the counties bearing the brunt of the lashings and pourings.

It might just be the perfect night to light a fire and get something hot into your claw.
