It’s going to get chilly.

Met Éireann have issued two weather warnings as Ireland braces itself for a spell of wintry weather from Wednesday until the weekend. A status yellow wind warning, valid from 10pm on Tuesday to 10am on Wednesday morning has been issued for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, with gusts of up to 110 km/h expected in places. Another status yellow warning, meanwhile, valid from 6pm on Wednesday to 12pm on Saturday, has been issued for the entire country, warning of very cold wintry weather from Wednesday night onwards. Met Éireann say that heaviest of the snow fall is most likely over Ulster, Connacht, north Leinster and west Munster and especially so on high ground, so there’s barely any pocket of the country that will escape unaffected. Wrap up warm and be sure to be safe on the roads, folks; winter is coming.
