Well it was fun while it lasted… you can put the sun loungers away for a while

weather warning

Wet, wet, wet…

After what has been a glorious week in Ireland, in which temperatures breached the 20 degree barrier, it looks like normal service is going to be resumed on the weather front in Ireland.

Again during this recent spell of weather, Irish people proved themselves incapable of dealing with even mild shifts in weather temperature.

Just look at this for feck sake…

Thankfully for any of the fair skinned members of our society, your sunburn fears are about to disappear like Ireland’s chances in the Eurovision last night.

Friday is going to be mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain, locally heavy and a risk of thundery downpours.

It will be misty in places with some bright spells. Top temperatures will be a mild 15-18 degrees.

While Saturday will start dry and bright in many places, it won’t last. There will be lingering rain over Leinster and Ulster while from mid-morning rain will move in over Munster and move northeastwards across the country. Top temperatures will be 14-17 degrees.

The outlook is not good either with Sunday promised to be a mix of sunshine and showers. Sunday evening will become increasingly cloudy and windy with rain spreading quickly northeastwards.

In short, bring an umbrella with you over the next couple of days…
