They’re the same place, right?
JOE always paid attention during our geography classes, unlike these poor souls who hilariously messed up their dream holiday plans. American dentist Edward Gamson had saved for two years to book his trip to Granada, Spain’s Moorish capital, only to realise that he had accidentally booked tickets to the luxurious Caribbean Island of Grenada instead.
No biggie, just the nine hours travel distance between the two and the fact that they were 4,000 miles away from their intended destination. Awkward.
Since their printed tickets did not list the country, airport code or flight duration, Gamson said he did not realise the mistake until he saw the in-flight map.
After arriving in the wrong continent, the couple then proceeded to complain to the airline staff working who bizarrely said that this wasn’t the first time that this exact mix-up has happened!
Remember folks, always check your ticket before boarding.
