Wexford man finds lotto ticket worth €350k in his pocket after a month

Fair play, but we hate him

Fair play, but we hate him.

A Wexford man is the proud owner of €350,000 worth of lovely Euro coins today after discovering a winning Lotto ticket in his wallet.

The anonymous gentleman, who bought his ticket in Drimnagh, won the top Lotto Plus 1 prize on Saturday November 29th, but only discovered it a month later.

“I just found out yesterday,” he said. “I scanned the ticket in the shop and it said to contact the National Lottery, so I thought there must be a problem with the barcode or something. Then I checked it on the website later. I couldn’t believe it.”

It could happen to us too. But it probably won’t.
