Time to get the waterproofs out lads.

Time to get the waterproofs out lads.

If you’ve made plans for any outdoor activities that don’t involve splashing in puddles over the next few days we suggest cancelling them as soon as possible because it’s going to be wet out there folks.

Met Eireann have today issued a Status Orange weather warning for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath and Monaghan, predicting heavy rain (40-60mm) throughout the day tomorrow and tomorrow night which will likely result in localised flooding in some areas.

There has also been a Status Yellow warning issued for Munster, Connacht, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan and Donegal, meaning that there’s pretty much nowhere in the country likely to escape when the heavens open over the next couple of days.

If you’ve been hanging on to a couple of box sets waiting for an opportune time to get stuck into them, the rest of the week might be the time to do it… you know, if you don’t have to go to work and stuff.
