Gardaí are investigating after a woman was robbed while going to church in County Meath on Saturday night (4 May).
The woman, aged in her 80s, was attending mass at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Trimgate Street in Navan when the incident occurred.
At approximately 7pm, the woman's purse was stolen by a pickpocket as she was receiving holy communion.
It has also been reported that a mobile phone was stolen from another individual during mass.
No injuries were sustained in either case, and investigations are ongoing.
