Gardaí appealing for information following fatal shooting in Dublin

A woman in her 30s was killed following the incident.

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for information following a fatal shooting on Saturday evening (19 March).

The incident occurred at a domestic residence at Collins Place, in Finglas West, Dublin 11.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene at approximately 8.40pm.

A woman, aged in her 30s, was seriously injured during the incident, and was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

The scene remains preserved and a technical examination is currently being conducted by the Garda Technical Bureau.

The remains of the deceased have been removed to the City Morgue and a Post Mortem will be conducted this afternoon by State Pathologist Dr. Sally Ann Collis.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information on this incident to contact investigating Gardaí at Finglas Garda Station.

Gardaí are also appealing for any person driving in the area of Collins Park, Ballygall Road West or any adjacent/ surrounding roads between 8pm and 9pm, particularly drivers of any vehicle or other roads users who may have video footage such as dash cam footage or from a GoPro to contact investigating Gardaí.
