WATCH: This old Donald Trump advert for McDonald’s is the stuff of nightmares

Rudi Kinsella

Trump state of emergency

Donald wasn’t all that different back in 2002.

In case you haven’t been paying attention to the wild world of American politics this week, you may have missed Donald Trump welcoming the national college football champions from Clemson University to the White House on Monday night, where they tucked into a banquet of fast food.

Then, as if the whole thing wasn’t strange enough, he took to Twitter to congratulate himself for buying them all McDonald’s, by saying: “Great being with the National Champion Clemson Tigers last night at the White House. Because of the Shutdown I served them massive amounts of Fast Food (I paid), over 1000 hamberders etc. Within one hour, it was all gone. Great guys and big eaters!”

That’s right, he spelled the word “hamburgers” as “hamberders.” Hamberders.

But his relationship with the fast-food giants McDonald’s didn’t start this week. Not by a long shot.

This 2002 advert for McDonald’s featuring the now President of America is something else entirely.

Watch it, but prepare to be a little bit freaked out:

Haunting stuff, right? He’s come a long way from adverts like this in fairness to him, although we don’t think he’s changed all that much.
