A French woman is ‘urgently’ searching for an Irish man that she met at the Euros

Paul Moore

Know anyone that was in France?

There were many memorable moments during Euro 2016 – the memory of Robbie Brady’s winner against Italy will always give us goosebumps- but away from the pitch, the Irish supporters charmed the world.

There was the memorable ABBA singalong, endless chants of Shane Long’s On Fire, songs on planes and good times with the police. Take us back.

This being said, one French girl still needs the help of kindhearted Irish supporters and she has asked the excellent You Boys in Green forum for some help.

The woman, who calls herself Rita, left the following message on the forum.

“I live in Lyon, France and I was hoping to have some help from the You Boys in Green supporters club in finding an Irish football fan called Cormac who I met here during the Euros this year.”

Rita goes on to explain that she met this Irishman on the evening that France beat us 2-1 at around 1am.

“We met while the crowd was singing “Don’t take me home, which they continued to sing for at least 10 minutes. He had lost his friends.” “I don’t have any more information other than his first name and where we met, but I’m trying to contact him about an important matter.”

So if you think you know Cormac, or if you are indeed Cormac, please get in touch with Rita via [email protected].

To Rita we say, best of luck with your search.
