Get well soon, Souey.

Liverpool legend Graeme Souness, who underwent heart bypass surgery over 20 years ago while managing the club, was taken into hospital in Bournemouth yesterday.

Reports do not yet indicate what the problem might be, but Gillette Soccer Saturday presenter and all-round class-act Jeff Stelling wasted no time wishing his fellow pundit a speedy recovery on this afternoon’s show. Matt Le Tissier, Paul Merson, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson joined in the well-wishing.

Souness, 62, captained Liverpool during one of their most successful spells during the 1980s and and was named the 9th most popular player in the club’s history by a 2006 poll.
