Australian fan will be eating his words after taunting every Irish supporter with this message

Paul Moore

He could be lucky to get out of the stadium alive.

Ireland have won their first ever test series in 39 years in the southern hemisphere after edging out Australia in Sydney.

The Six Nations champions beat Michael Chieka’s men by 20-16 in a dramatic match that went all the way down to the wire.

A CJ Stander try along with five penalties from Johnny Sexton gave Ireland the win but the hosts were always in contention after Marika Koroibete crossed the whitewash for Australia. Foley added on the conversion and kicked three penalties in a pulsating encounter.

Throughout the match, Australia’s discipline let them down as they conceded 13 penalties that proved to be decisive.

Prior to this match, Ireland have never won a Test series in the southern hemisphere since 1979 but much like so many records in the Joe Schmidt era, that has now been broken.

A fantastic achievement.

Irish fans in Sydney will be absolutely delighted and we’ve a feeling that they might let this message slide. This being said, we don’t think he’ll be as confident leaving the stadium as he was during the match.

Reckon that number is going to get any calls?
