Worrying scenes from the US Open golf as a blimp covering the golf major explodes into flames.

The Milwaukee Sentinel reports that the blimp went down about 11:20am local time near Highway 83 and Highway 167. It crashed into some nearby woodland and people were seen evacuating the craft via parachutes. Emergency services immediately attended the scene. Onlooker Bryan Rosine said, "It started deflating, and then it started going down. They were trying to give it some throttle and it didn't go up. Then there was a bunch of kabooms and smoke clouds." https://twitter.com/msiggyy/status/875387281426841602?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thesun.co.uk%2Fsport%2F3809362%2Fus-open-blimp-catches-fire-and-crashes-at-erin-hills-as-people-parachute-to-the-ground%2F
