The Irish and French Under 19 teams played today in Dublin and INPHO’s Donall Farmer captured one very painful looking moment for one Irish player.
Billed as a ‘friendly’ this hit on Ireland’s Stephen Fitzgerald by France’s Samuel Faconnier looks anything but. Taken by INPHO’s Donall Farmer at today’s U19 international at Templeville Road, the shot shows Fitzgerald being taken off his feet by Faconnier either before receiving a pass or after a speedy offload.
The game ended in a 12-8 win for France.
