Can City get back on track and will Dortmund overcome Juventus? JOE previews tonight’s Champions’ League

Who'll progress tonight?

JOE

Manchester City face an uphill battle against Barcelona in the Nou Camp, while Borussia Dortmund hope to make the most of home advantage against Juventus.

Monaco and Atletico progressed into the last 8 last night, but who will be joining them from tonight’s games?

Barcelona v Manchester City

As the last remaining English side in the tournament, Manchester City will be aiming to cause a huge upset in the Nou Camp this evening.

City were lucky to only lose by the one goal in the first leg. Lionel Messi’s uncharacteristic penalty miss, as well as some wastefulness from Barca, means they still have a chance, albeit a slender one, tonight.

They travel to Catalonia with former Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure back from suspension.

City will be hoping Barca have one eye on their El-Clásico game on Sunday.

However, we can’t envisage anything other than a home victory and another Premier League exit from Europe’s elite club competition.

Prediction – Barcelona 2-0 Manchester City (4-1 aggregate)

Borussia Dortmund v Juventus

Jurgen Klopp’s side go into this game with the aim of overturning a 2-1 deficit from the first leg.

The German’s domestic season hasn’t gone to plan, so the Champions League may be their only chance of silverware.

Standing in their way is a Juventus team that leads Serie A by 14 points.

However, we fancy the German side, who are unbeaten in their last six games, to come out on top.

They’ve looked back to their best in recent weeks and we think the away goal could prove crucial.

Prediction: 1-0 (Aggregate 2-2 Dortmund through on away goals)
