The German goal machine strikes again…
In the game everyone thought would be a draw, Germany have taken the lead. After a goalless first half, the USA began the second half sitting deeper and deeper, perhaps hoping to eke out the draw they needed.
But that just drew Germany on and after a fine save by Tim Howard, Thomas Muller stroked home the very difficult second chance with great composure.
