Conor McGregor adds more fuel to the rumour of a super fight with Floyd Mayweather

Could this… no it couldn’t, could it?

Conor McGregor is once again promoting himself and his superstardom on social media as today, he teased the public over rumours of a fight with boxing kingpin Floyd Mayweather.

The rumours started milling around last week when several MMA sites in America started to report the possibility of it happening.

Now McGregor has just posted this…

Again though, it seems highly unlikely that any fight between the pair will ever take place, no matter how much McGregor promotes the possibility.

Last week UFC President Dana White came out and said that it would be up to the UFC to create any such fight because of McGregor’s contract. They’re his promoters and everything must go through them.

That hasn’t stopped The Notorious from winding up his many, many social media followers with his latest post.

You would have to think that the Dubliner is once again trying to leverage his position with the UFC, and is trying to show that he is the main star of the UFC.

At this moment, according to comments from Dana White (who has gone back on his word before though), McGregor will fight the winner of Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo or relinquish his featherweight belt.

But if the cut to 145 is too much, a rematch with Nate Diaz seems likely.
