Conor McGregor leaps into cage and confronts referee who warned him in Gdansk

Absolute chaos

Whenever Conor McGregor makes an appearance these days, it’s always memorable.

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor was in Dublin’s 3Arena on Friday night to show support for his teammate, Charlie Ward.

In his first fight since being cut from the UFC, Ward took on Team Ryano’s John Redmond. However, that fight was completely overshadowed by McGregor, who appeared cageside to shout instructions at his teammate along with fellow SBG man Artem Lobov.

Once Ward landed that coup de grace and Redmond went crashing down to the mat, McGregor scaled the cage and went over to congratulate Ward on the win. Then chaos ensued.

The man in the middle for the fight was Marc Goddard, who hasn’t had the easiest time of late.

Two weeks earlier, he was in the KSW cage inside the 3Arena when Norman Parke got clocked by a rival cornerman after his rematch with Mateusz Gamrot ended in a No Contest following an eye-poke.

At UFC Gdansk, Goddard was forced to warn McGregor for attempting to coach Lobov from the crowd during his unanimous decision loss to Andre Fili.

McGregor had a few words for Goddard when they met again in Dublin for Bellator.
