Fair play…

Whatever you may think about Conor McGregor’s behaviour in general and at the UFC press conference on Thursday, this is a good gesture from the Dubliner.

McGregor has given two tickets for his upcoming fight in Las Vegas on 6 October against Khabib Nurmagomedov to the Inner City Helping Homeless charity.

Head of ICHH Anthony Flynn announced that they are auctioning off the tickets to raise money for the charity.

In a post on social media, Flynn said: “Thanks to McGregor Sports and Entertainment we have 2 tickets for UFC 229 on October 6th in Las Vegas as Dublins own champ champ Conor McGregor takes on Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight title.

“This will be the biggest fight in UFC history and is already a sell out but we are giving you the chance to get 2 tickets and support our volunteer run, non government funded frontline outreach and advocacy charity in the process.”

The face value for the tickets is $355 but the charity are hoping to raise considerably more from the auction.

The auction will run until 9pm on Sunday night and the winner will have until 9am Monday morning to donate the money via a facebook donate button that will be added to the post after the auction ends.
