Rather than dwell on any possible self-pity for missing out on an All-Star, Cork hurler Conor O’Sullivan responded with a great display of humour to the team announcement.
The Sarsfields man had been one of Cork’s steadiest performers all season at corner back and was one of the 45 nominations for the 2013 team of the year. Unfortunately for the 24 year-old, he missed out in what was a highly competitive line as Limerick’s Richie McCarthy, All-Ireland winner David McInerney and Dublin’s Peter Kelly were chosen in the full-back line.
O’Sullivan showed there was no bitter feeling on his part and displayed a great sense of humour by tweeting the official GAA account to cheekily suggest that there had been a mistake on the All Stars team after he was omitted.
@officialgaa I think ye misspelled my name there #totesawks

Fair play to O’Sullivan, and we weren’t the only ones impressed with his quick thinking.
@AOMTHECAT sure if a fella can’t have a laugh like.

As he said himself, you have got to find the funny side of things and 10 out of 10 for the clever tweet.
