The Wigan Athletic owner has said some very controversial things about Jewish and Chinese people.

Dave Whelan has gone head-to-head with political correctness (or common decency) and come out smelling of something very, very unsavoury.

The Wigan chairnan appointed disgraced former Cardiff boss Malky Mackay as the Latics’ new manager on Wednesday and today said that it was ok to call Chinese people ‘chinks’ and paint all Jewish people as being in love with money.

“Do you think Jewish people chase money a little bit more than we do? I think they are very shrewd people. I think Jewish people do chase money more than everybody else. I don’t think that’s offensive at all,” Whelan said in an interview with The Guardian.

“It’s telling the truth. Jewish people love money, English people love money; we all love money.”

On to the Chinese, after Mackay sent a text message to his former Cardiff colleague Iain Moody in which he referred to ‘fkn chinkys.’

“If any Englishman said he has never called a Chinaman a chink he is lying. There is nothing bad about doing that. It is like calling the British Brits, or the Irish paddies,” he racisted.
