Is it going to be a case of third time lucky?

Diarmuid Connolly’s quest to play in Dublin’s All-Ireland semi final replay against Mayo hit another setback last night.

The forward’s suspension was upheld by the Central Hearings Committee on Wednesday night and his latest bid to have it overturned with didn’t go any better last night.

The GAA’s Central Appeals Committee heard his case and after a long meeting they upheld Connolly’s one-match ban which means he’ll miss tomorrow’s game.

He can still bring the case to the Disputes Resolution Authority today, which is likely to happen according to reports this morning.

The saga continues.
