President Donald Trump has taken aim at basketball superstar LeBron James on Twitter.

Writing in the late hours of Friday night, Trump said “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!”

James was being interviewed by CNN’s Lemon after the LeBron James Family Foundation and the Akron (Ohio) Public Schools launched a new elementary school for at-risk children in his hometown. The school will also provide several other free amenities and services for its students.

During the interview, James was asked about Trump, and said that the president was “using sports to kinda divide us.”

It’s not the first time that the three-time NBA Championship winner has called out the Republican, also referring to him as a “bum” on Twitter, and then defending the sentiment in a press conference.

James has also spoken about the tradition of athletes visiting the White House after a championship win, saying: “Going to the White House was a great honour until you showed up.”

Mike refers to Michael Jordan, suggesting that Donald Trump’s allegiances lie with the former Chicago Bull in terms of the GOAT (greatest of all time) debate.
