It’s time to get suited and booted.

Few sporting and social occasions can compare to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival, which takes place from Friday, 30 June, to Sunday, 2 July. The festival is as much about the atmosphere and the craic as it is about the racing.

Are you ready to dust down your sharpest suit and throw down a sartorial marker? Well, this weekend’s festival is your opportunity to dress up, look sharp and potentially win some amazing prizes. SportsJOE Derby Friday is a chance for the lads to catch the eye of the Hackett Style judges as they go in search of The Curragh’s Most Stylish Man.

They’ll be searching for the sharpest dressed gentleman on the day. The lucky man of the moment will walk away with a full Hackett London suit, not to mention the bragging rights that go with it!

Friday night is also party night, with the “Apres Racing Party” featuring the Honky Tonk Angels. It promises to be a memorable night’s entertainment and the perfect way to top off a day’s racing action.

The festival isn’t just for racing fans, although there will be top quality racing on offer. It’s a unique occasion to enjoy with your friends or your better half, combining the thrill of the races with the chance to enjoy a drink in the company of the nation’s movers and shakers.

The Curragh has a selection of great bars and contemporary eateries to enjoy some incredible food and drinks with friends before having a flutter. There’s nothing quite like having a winner on the day or soaking up the turfside passion and excitement.

Racing fans will have plenty to look forward to. The highlights of the weekend include the Hackett Apprentice Jockeys’ Derby on Friday and the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby on Saturday. The Dubai Duty Free Derby Day is now sold out, but those lucky enough to have tickets will be joined by Chanelle McCoy. The star of Dragons Den will be one of the style judges, with the most stylish guest being whisked off for a luxury trip to Dubai and a stay at the five star K Club.

Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day is a sell-out, so those without a ticket will have to catch the action on TV. There are still tickets and dining opportunities available for SportsJOE Derby Friday and for Pretty Polly Family Day. However, you’re advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
