The world governing body are trying to tackle sexism.

FIFA are instructing broadcasters to stop focusing their cameras on “hot women” in the crowd at football matches.

Federico Addiechi, FIFA’s diversity boss, has said that this is a necessary requirement for football’s governing body to take in order to tackle sexism at the World Cup.

“We’ve done it with individual broadcasters. We’ve done it with our host broadcast services,” he said.

When asked if this approach will become an official policy for future events to come, he said: “This is one of the activities we definitely will have in future – it’s a normal evolution.”

Addiechi also said that FIFA will “take action against things that are wrong”.

After documenting more than 30 cases throughout the tournament, anti-discrimination group Fare Network have said that sexism has been the biggest problem at Russia 2018.
