Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has a new job and it’s a little bit bonkers

Paul Moore

Some man.

Some Liverpool fans will have a place for Djibril Cisse in their hearts because despite his poor goalscoring record at the club, injuries and subsequent poor form were the main reasons why he only scored 13 times in 3 years on Merseyside, but he did manage to score a penalty in the shootout against AC Milan in Istanbul.

Since leaving Anfield, the Frenchman has played for an assortment of clubs with spells at Sunderland, QPR and Lazio being the most memorable but it seems that Cisse has carved out a nice career for himself behind the decks since retiring.

The flamboyant striker is a DJ now, and for Mariah Carey no less.

The diva played at the Bercy Arena in Paris this week and she opted to have the former Liverpool striker on the decks. Cisse took to Twitter to express his delight at the news by saying “I have the honour and pleasure to announce that I’m doing the first part of the great Mariah Carey evening.”

We wonder if Mariah has spent a bit of time standing on the KOP? We would love to be a fly on the wall during their conversations.
