This isn’t something you expect to read every day.
There are a lot of places on the Internet that you can find material of a racy nature (so we’ve been told), but a GAA website wouldn’t be one of them. Or at least, that was the case until last Friday, when it has emerged that links to pornographic images from Japan appeared on the Connacht GAA website.
News of the surprise discovery appeared in the Western People today, with the paper revealing that users of the website who clicked onto the fixtures section were redirected to a Japanese website containing the NSFW material.

Speaking to the Western People about what had happened, Connacht Council secretary John Prenty said: “It appears that when information about the Connacht Championships was put up it impacted on the site and other stuff appeared.
“We knew nothing about it until you told us. It was removed immediately.”
