Ireland’s Rugby World Cup squad have arrived back at Dublin Airport.
Players including Paul O’Connell, Tommy Bowe (both on crutches), Chris Henry, Jamie Heaslip and Johnny Sexton all stopped for photos with fans who had travelled out to greet them.
Ireland’s World Cup campaign ended on Sunday with a disappointing 43-20 defeat to Argentina at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
The panel was ravaged by injury and suspension, with O’Connell, Sexton, Peter O’Mahony, Sean O’Brien and Jared Payne all missing the quarter-final.
